Sonnets of Light (11/24/12): “I Am Always With You (For You)”

I Am Always With You

(For you, you know who you are)

a Ghazal by: Stanley Castro

O Love, wherever you are, I am always with you;
I am the lips that kisses your wishes come true.

O Love, whenever you call the name of G-d,
I am the very voice that He speaks, which answers your every petition.

So wherever you are, whenever you call upon my name,
Like the wind, like the breath that emanates from God, oh am I like!

I will pray for you, and I will also be the answer to your prayer;
I will sing for you, and I too, will also be your song.

So, dear Love, do not hesitate to come close;
I will be unto you a wish-fulfilling gem, a philosopher’s stone!

Everything you touch, through the power of my love, will turn into Gold!
Everything you speak, through my passion for you, will turn into reality!

So, dear love, do not be afraid!
I will love you even until the end of all ages, even if you lose your faith in me!

For I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
and I always will…
Even if you continuously renounce me.

Sonnets of Light (11/20/12): “The Voice of G-d”

The Voice of G-d
A Ghazal by Oriyahu Yair

From the very moment of existence, I have heard the voice of G-d.
It is swift and dear, sweet and alluring, and yes, it is the voice of G-d.

From moment to moment it brings me into places far beyond space and time,
As soon as I hear it, oh! Everything from around me dissipates, and yes, it is the voice of G-d.

When it leaves my presence, I feel darkness and confusion;
But as soon as I would hear it, clarity comes, and yes, it is the voice of God!

The Voice is not only heard, it has fragrance, that of a Rose;
And as soon as I smell of its fragrance, ah yes! My heart would blossom as a rose, and yes, it is the voice of G-d!

Be still, and you should know;
Be here, in the now, be awake! For you too hear the tenderness of the voice of G-d!

And now that the time of my transition draws near, ah!
The voice gets nearer and nearer. I can hear it, clear and vivid, and yes, I can say that, it is the Voice of G-d.

Sonnets of Light: “I Am your resting place”

“I Am thy Resting Place”
a ghazal by: Oriyahu Yair

Come, My Lover, and rest into My arms;
I know that you are weary from the torrents of worldly care, rest into My arms!

Let My Love be a soothing balm, and the amrita reviving your lifeless eyes,
So come, do not hesitate, rest in My arms!

Cry, cry, cry all of your worries; No, do not be afraid, I bring you no harm.
I can see from your eyes that you are tired, so come, rest into My arms!

While you are asleep, as your consciousness drifts away from the world,
I will bring you into the fragrant Field of Roses, so come, rest into My arms!

This world will only bring you burden,  for the toils of life are harsh.
I will embrace you now, so rest into My arms!

Through the Rose you will come into the Cross, and the Cross through the Rose.  I am the Rose of Life,  I will redeem you from the Cross of the World, come, rest into My arms!

I, your Maker, your Beloved, will never forsake thee, for I am Thy rest.
So come, while you are in distress, embrace Me now, and rest into My arms!

Sonnets of Light (11/17/12): “The Reverie of Unrequited Love (A Romantic Ghazal)”

The Reverie of Unrequited Love
a Ghazal sonnet by: Stanley Castro

O dear Beloved, why did you run away?
I was seeking the fragrance of your Soul, why did you run away?

Hand to hand we held each other, laughing at the world’s reverie,
But now, I cannot see the Light of your eyes, why did you run away?

Face to face, we beheld each other’s soul,
But now, I cannot sense the Life from within you, why did you run away?

The fire of my heart burns as long as I see you,
But now, that Fire of Love  that burns in our hearts was extinguished, why did you run away?

What have I done, O Young One, to make you aloof?
Our love was as fresh as a morning dew, seeing that, why did you run away?

Is it the blemish of my face that displeases you? Answer me now! Why did you run away?

Is it the impurity of my being that you despise?
Answer me now! Why did you run away?

The Light has diminished, the Life has long dissipated, and the Love long gone. Beloved One, seeing this, why did you run away?

Fool I was to make you run away, dear one!
My First Romance, My Primal Happiness, why did you run away?

Can’t you remember everything that has been of us?
Beloved, why, why did you run away?

And now, I, your buried past, seeks your answer;
Beloved, before I leave, can I ask you, why, why did you run away?

The Cry of Union

The Cry of Holy Union

a Poem by Oriyahu Yair

O L-rd of the Cosmos,
Kindle the Flame from the Centre of Your Being and consume me!
For I lust for Thy Love!
L-rd, you indeed are a Consuming Fire!

I am raptured by my bursting Passion,
O L-rd, make love with my Luminous Soul!
And kindle that which sparked from long ago.
That all the  Worlds may blaze with Thy brilliance!

I thirst for You, dear Beloved,
Let Us cleave in this Union of Love!
I yearn to see You face to face,
Veil not from me Thy dazzling Countenance.

Make me Thy lover, make me Thy consort,
And with the Waters flowing from Thy root, purify my Soul;
And then will I lie peacefully at last at the core of Thy Womb,
Then will I say that I have lived my life well and fulfilled.

Poetry of Life (9/29/2012): “Shabbat of my Soul”

Shabbat of My Soul

A poem by Oriyahu Yair

O Shabbat of my Soul, the Abode of my Being
Unto Thee I lay mine whole being; into Thy hands of Love and Power I seeketh refuge.

Though this self speaketh of separation, deep within the Inner core of my Being,
I can hear my Beloved’s Light pulsating rapidly!

Why is there such as a Beloved and a Lover? Cannot they be One in Essence and In Being?
O, how our Being cries! Confounded upon this Duality of a Lover and a Beloved!

Nigh, there neither a Beloved nor a Lover, but there is only the Light of the Everlasting Infinite All!

Pulsating rapidly, Illuminating all the Worlds!

No separation lies, know that he who speaketh such and tells that the Beloved and His Lover are divorced are slanderers!
The Beloved dwells in the Innermost centre of the Lover, and the Lover in turn is sheltered under the Shadow of His wings!

Thus, the Bridegroom and the Bride, peacefully rests in each other’s Abode, without separation! They are the Shabbat of each other’s weeks!
The Light rests WITHIN the Womb of the Presence, and the Presence in turn with the sheltering of the Light!

And being with Thee, O Shabbat of my Soul, is beyond any silver and gold gathered by the merchants of Persia! It is priceless, beyond the value of Rubies, this Love and Might bestowed that no words can utter!

O Shabbat of my Soul, let me rest into Thine arms. In eternal repose, in one, with Thine scintillating splendor.
The Song of Light concludes, Blessed be Hashem forever and ever. Amein and Amein!

Tula ng Buhay (9/28/2012): “Liwanag”

Liwanag

Soneto ni Lucem Ferre

Kadiliman man saakin ay bumulag,
Nananatiling busilak ang aking Diwa;
Nang-galing sa Walang Hanggang Sinag,
Kahit ang kasamaa’y hindi ito masisira.

Liwanag saaking kaluluwa’y nanantili,

Bigkasin man ng aking mga labi ang iyong pangalan;

Sa Liwanag ika’y nang-galing;
At sa Liwanag ikaw din ay mag-babalik na Siyang muling makaka-piling.

Poetry of Life (9/20/2012): Lemuria Rising

Lemuria Rising

a poem by: Lucem Ferre

Behold the Land of which the L-rd was pleased,
The Islands of the Seas from which sprang honey and milk blessed!
Tanned are the skins of its inhabitants,
Yet their Souls, radiant and alluring, are enclothed with God’s brilliance!

Scattered are them from the rest of the Earth,
yet their footmarks never leave the soil’s dirt;
Servants are they from the lands foreign,
Yet their Wisdom and Kindness will place upon the land God’s reign!

Lemuria, Lemuria, Ophir of the East, still are you G-d’s beloved land,
Scattered Islands where reigned the Chosen race refined!
Sons of the Palace, Daughters of the King;
They are the inhabitants of the Land where the Angel of God will sing!

From your Gold purest were the Temple of G-d established,
Reflecting the brilliance of your Soul polished!
Pearl of the Orient, Eden lost;
Your cries will mark Shambhala’s return.

Oh how I wait and see, and witness Lemuria’s rising!
Like the Phoenix will your resurrection be,
Oh when that hour will come, I will die with my hear singing!
